Hong Kong, October 13, 2025 – DAS-Security is honored to support and participate in the Hong Kong Cybersecurity Attack & Defence Drill 2025, officially launched on October 10, under the leadership of the Digital Policy Office (DPO). The large-scale cybersecurity exercise aims to strengthen the ability of government departments and public organisations to detect, respond to, and recover from cyberattacks, making an essential step in reinforcing Hong Kong's overall cybersecurity resilience.

Organised in collaboration with the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force, Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited, Cyberport, and the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology, this year's drill holds particular significance as it prepares for two major upcoming events — the 15th National Games and the Legislative Council General Election later this year.

Strengthening Defence through Real-World Simulation

The 2025 drill adopts realistic attack and defence simulations on live, Internet-facing information systems to evaluate the defensive capabilities of participating entities.

• Red Teams, comprising experienced cybersecurity professionals from Hong Kong and Mainland China, act as attackers to simulate various types of cyber threats.
• Blue Teams, representing 25 government departments and nine public organisations, respond to these simulated attacks in real time — enhancing their technical response, incident coordination, and risk mitigation skills.

This year's drill features an expanded scale, bringing together 34 Blue Teams, 15 Red Teams, and 15 Mainland cybersecurity firms offering technical expertise and advisory support. The event also reflects the growing Guangdong–Hong Kong collaboration in cybersecurity, with elite Red Teams recommended by the Cyberspace Administration of Guangdong Province participating actively.
